A Marseille yacht charter for a full week
Plan a week from Marseille around the way you want to live aboard. Cabin sharing, meals, shore time and sailing ambitions should guide the yacht and the distance covered.
Put your Marseille departure on the calendar
Give us your date, group size and route idea. We can discuss the right yacht for that trip and set out the departure, hours and services in your charter quote.

Decide what a good week looks like for the group
Some guests want a sailing holiday with active time under sail; others want a crewed coastal journey with meals and stops arranged for them. Explain the balance you prefer before comparing vessel types. The same length of yacht can support very different experiences depending on rig, layout and the service included.
Agree a few priorities with the whole party rather than collecting an unranked list of destinations. Frequent changes of harbour, quieter stays and longer passages each create a different rhythm. Children or less experienced guests may benefit from a programme with room to adapt, especially during the first days aboard.
Review the accommodation as a shared home
Ask for the actual cabin and bathroom plan, including crew spaces. Confirm which beds are doubles, twins or conversions and whether any sleeping arrangement reduces the communal area. Storage and privacy become more important over several nights than they appear during a short viewing or an exterior-photo comparison.
Discuss the daily service arrangement too. Who cooks, provisions, cleans and handles shore reservations depends on the charter agreed. A skippered sailing yacht is not automatically a fully serviced yacht. If bareboat is being considered, the operator must assess the required qualifications and acceptance for the actual vessel and operating area separately.
Build a realistic course from the confirmed base
The Marseille departure should be tied to a real marina and clear embarkation times. Ask the skipper or operator to explain a suggested route in terms of comfortable passage lengths, suitable stops and return requirements. Avoid choosing a yacht around an itinerary that only works at an advertised maximum speed or in ideal wind.
Where protected coastline or regulated anchorages are involved, the route and activities must follow the rules applicable to that yacht and date. A destination list is a discussion tool, not a guarantee of access to every place. Leave alternatives for conditions and make any fixed shore event visible at the planning stage.
Understand costs across the entire charter period
Ask how charter hire, fuel, provisions, berths, cleaning and taxes are handled, and which items are estimates. A charter with a defined service package should be compared differently from one using an expense allowance or guest-managed supplies. Clarify the accounting process, deposits and responsibility for additional spending before making the selection.
Give the date range, number of nights, group experience and cabin needs with your enquiry. Request recent vessel information and read the contract’s payment, cancellation and change provisions. A model preference is welcome, but the final agreement must confirm the actual yacht, charter use and complete scope available for your week.
Departure questions to settle
Can we choose a sailing yacht for the week?
Yes. State whether you want a skipper, additional service or a bareboat assessment. Each format has different responsibilities and operator acceptance requirements.
Is the route fixed when we book?
It can have agreed priorities, but safe routing remains subject to conditions and operating requirements. Discuss how alternatives and any fixed shore commitments will be handled.
