Boarding access and assistance
A Marseille embarkation can involve quayside movement, a narrow gangway and steps between yacht spaces. Describe access needs before the yacht is chosen.

Assess the stages before the passage
Ask for a precise view of the boarding point and internal layout. Terms such as spacious or family-friendly do not establish wheelchair access or a step-free route to the toilet.
The crew can assess what assistance is safe for their vessel. If the answer is uncertain, request another layout or a different proposal rather than leaving the decision to the departure day.
Start with the right marina
For Marseille boarding, ask for the exact quay and meeting point in writing. Do not substitute a cruise-terminal address, ferry terminal or broad Vieux-Port map pin for the charter yacht’s instructions.
Identify assistance before the departure plan
- How far the guest can comfortably walk
- Steps, balance and handhold requirements
- Mobility equipment and its dimensions
- Toilet and seating needs during the outing
Confirm suitability before booking
For a Marseille departure, the quay, pontoon and boat may each present a different step or gap. Ask the provider to assess those parts together and confirm the assistance available. The yacht categories on this site are not access certifications; choose using details of the actual vessel and boarding place.
