A broad hull changes the interior experience

Hanse’s 460 marks the builder’s first collaboration with Berret-Racoupeau. The regional dealer specification gives 14.60 metres overall and 4.79 metres of beam. Three groups of hull glazing, a long coachroof and a broad aft section make the design recognisable. The twin steering stations sit behind the social cockpit, keeping the principal guest seating forward of the helm activity.

A broad hull changes the interior experience

The manufacturer describes an owner’s suite with an island double bed, an extra-long galley and multiple accommodation combinations. Those are choices within the model family, not a universal layout. A charter with several couples may distribute the cabin space differently from a family booking that puts more value on a larger forward room.

Room for a holiday that includes time aboard

A multi-day Marseille charter gives the interior a role beyond shelter. Breakfast in the saloon, a meal in the cockpit and quiet time in a cabin create different settings around the sailing. Guests who expect to cook aboard should explain that preference, because the galley and provisioning plan will influence the daily rhythm.

Start with an achievable first passage and keep a nearer alternative for the day’s planned stop. The yacht’s size supports a longer stay, but it does not determine the best weather window. A flexible coastal plan leaves time for swimming where suitable, a visit ashore or simply a longer pause after the sails come down.

Keep the 460 and newer 461 distinct

Hanse now places the 460 in its 2021–2026 archive. The later 461 is a separate model. Likewise, options such as a fixed bimini or cockpit wetbar should be checked on the individual yacht rather than inferred from a manufacturer’s feature list.

Send your dates, cabin priorities and preferred Marseille meeting area. We will seek this model or a comparable verified yacht and identify its actual equipment and crew arrangement.
