Lunch on board in Marseille
For lunch off Marseille, start with the format. Food brought aboard needs suitable storage; a served meal needs a galley, seating and service that can support it. The menu follows those choices.

Agree the format
Find out where the food will be kept and where everyone will sit to eat. The yacht’s permitted passenger count does not promise a dining place for each guest at one table.

Agree the format
A meal ashore adds a landing or berth to the Marseille plan. Confirm both access and timing before booking the table. The restaurant address alone cannot establish how guests will get there from the yacht.
Space and service
A celebration does not remove the route restrictions. Music, water activities and use of protected areas need to stay within the rules for the actual location and charter.
Ask which facilities are available to guests and which require crew supervision. A swim platform is not permission to swim anywhere, and equipment listed on a vessel does not override local restrictions.
Fit the meal between the passages
A Marseille day charter works best with one main direction. Frioul, the Côte Bleue and the Calanques are different plans; combining their names does not create more usable time on board.
Begin with the actual marina and discuss the sea conditions expected along the route. The operator should explain the proposed passage, time at a suitable stop and the return margin.
Details that complete the departure quote
A Marseille yacht quote should describe the exact charter: vessel, skipper, duration, guest count and departure. Only then can prices be compared fairly.
Fuel policies can make a coastal route and a longer passage cost differently. Ask whether the quoted itinerary is included and what happens if the group requests more distance or time.
Catering, harbour fees and any tender or shore transfer should be itemised. Protected-area authorisation is an eligibility question, not an optional upgrade that can be ignored to reduce the price.
